    Grand Final Time Again

    St Helens booked their place in the Super League Grand Final with a powerful seven-try display against the Rhinos at Knowsley Road.

    Daniel Anderson's men restricted last year's Grand Final winners to just two tries at either end of the match and they can now enjoy an extra week of rest as Leeds try again to qualify for the Grand Final.

    Saints looked bang up for the contest with their old rivals right from the start - with their opening try a superb move flowing right across the field.

    From a Meli break down the left, Saints switched the play with quick hands right across the field for Gardner to cross in the right corner for his 27th Super League try of the season.

    Leeds hit back with McGuire seizing on Meli's fumble, but Saints ended a tight half 12-4 in front as a result of Gidley's 22nd-minute touchdown.

    Saints came storming out after the interval and blew Leeds out of the water with three tries in a devastating spell of attacking rugby.

    With Leon Pryce and Keiron Cunningham bouncing out of the Leeds tackles, Meli managed to get over before a quick-fire double from Roby all-but sealed the victory but just a couple of minutes later Wilkin returned an interception all the way for his first try.

    Gareth Ellis got a consolation for Leeds, but even then they were not allowed the last word as Wilkin bagged his second two minutes from time to seal a glorious night all round for the Saints.

    A third successive Grand Final now awaits and a prospective double for Saints, but they know from last year that Leeds are capable of bouncing back in the season's finale.

    AMAZING!! what an amazing day we had after a bad start to the day (i overslept) i hadn't washed the outfit i was gonna wear so i had to find something something else to wear which of course made me late, we got to Manchester waay to early so we went round the Arndale Shopping Centre which of course meant i spent too much Money but at least i got a couple more christmas pressie's sorted (i might actually be done before christmas eve this year). we finally decided to go to a resteraunt for a rest and i ordered a hot milky coffee but of course instead of drinking the bloody drink i decided to wear it man was it hot. we went to the MEN Arena a bit early so we could find our seats we had to sit through some guy singing 5 songs he was that boring i don't remember his name then the support act Blah Sophie Ellis Bexter i'm not fussed on her but she did have the most amazing pair of glittery shoes on. FINALLY !! what we had waited months for the boys they started with 'beautiful world' then moved on to 'it only takes a minute' were we were treated to a rather sexy polldance then the show went from strength to strength with the special effects and the dancing the atmosphere was electric then the walkway came down and they moved over to the centre circle which we were sat right infront of so we had an excellent view of the guys singing 'Rule the World' after an hour and half of a blend of old songs and new it was finally over for another time, see you again next time.

    Lest We Forget

    .

    For The Fallen

    With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
    England mourns for her dead across the sea.
    Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
    Fallen in the cause of the free.

    Solemn the drums thrill; Death august and royal
    Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres,
    There is music in the midst of desolation
    And a glory that shines upon our tears.

    They went with songs to the battle, they were young,
    Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
    They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted;
    They fell with their faces to the foe.

    They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
    Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
    At the going down of the sun and in the morning
    We will remember them.

    They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
    They sit no more at familiar tables of home;
    They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;
    They sleep beyond England's foam.

    But where our desires are and our hopes profound,
    Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight,
    To the innermost heart of their own land they are known
    As the stars are known to the Night;

    As the stars that shall be bright when we are dust,
    Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain;
    As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness,
    To the end, to the end, they remain.

    Friends

    If I could catch a rainbow
    I would do it just for you,
    And share with you its beauty
    On the days you're feeling blue

     If I could build a mountain
     You could call your very own,
     A place to find serenity,
     A place to be alone

     If I could take your troubles
     I would toss them in the sea,
     But all these things I'm  finding
     Are impossible for me

     I cannot build a mountain,
     Or catch a rainbow fair,
     But let me be what I know  best,
     A friend who's always there

    Grand Final

    My idea of heaven? Tommy Martin, Chris Joynt, Phil Clarke and me all together in the same room. On thursday night we went to a garla event, now granted there were a couple hundred other people in the room also, but as we were there to support the very talented rugby league player Steve Prescott who although himself battling cancer walked from all the rugby league clubs in the NW to raise money for Christies Cancer Hospital with help of other walkers (my brother being one of them) he walked over 200 miles in 11 days and raised £50,000. The guys were there answering questions, signing autographs and posing for pictures and telling us some stories of what they got up to tricks the used to pull on one another. I also won one of the raffle prizes (an mp3 player) which Tommy drew out and i was sat next to Chris Joynt in the interval now i'm not a freak but man he smelt good;) what a cack ending to the season for Saints resoundingly beaten by Leeds Rhinos in the grand final on saturday 33-6 i think maybe it was just a game too much this season. Still it's not like we didn't win anything this year we still won the league leaders shield, challenge cup and the world club challenge (beating the aussies) and the 'man of steel' and coach of the year. Never mind no doubt we will be back again next year :) i was on a downer when we were coming back from manchester only to find the England rugby union team had beaten the french so we're in the world cup final - still would rather Saints had beaten Leeds though ;)

    The time draws near the birth of Christ:
    The moon is hid; the night is still;
    The Christmas bells from hill to hill
    Answer each other in the mist.

    Four voices of four hamlets round,
    From far and near, on mead and moor,
    Swell out and fail, as if a door
    Were shut between me and the sound:

    Each voice four changes on the wind,
    That now dilate, and now decrease,
    Peace and goodwill, goodwill and peace,
    Peace and goodwill, to all mankind.

    Come On You SAINTS!!!

    I don't know about football being called "the beautiful game" but after the game i saw yesterday i think it should be rugby league that should claim that title, what a fantastic display of tactical abilty, skill and sheer power, how amazing was jon wilkin? badly broken nose but still insists on playing in the game, what dedication! i was amazed how much Huddersfield threw at us i know Robbie Paul is an amazing player and i thought we'd slaughter them but what a game they played.  if they'd have been playing anybody but Saints then they may have come away with the trophy but Saints sheer determination, superior class and better defence won through didn't go to the match as i'm on my holidays visiting family but stayed in to watch the match on tv and what a spectical it was ok Huddersfield scored first it they were never gonna beat us the only tough decision was who was gonna win the Lance Todd trophy "Longy" eventually won it *the first player to win it 3 times* but it could have easily been any of the Saints players Lyon scored a try ant kicked 7 from 7 goals what a star **gonna miss him when he goes home boo hoo** (but good luck anyway)
    Shame i'm too far away to be at Knowsley Road to watch the guys come home with the Cup but knowing it's in our trophy cabinet again is enough for me.

    Huddersfield (6) 12  St Helens (12) 42
    Tries: Paul, Aspinwall Cayless, Talau, Long, Wilkin 2, Fa'asavalu, Lyon
    Goals: De Vere 2 Lyon 7
    Attend: 65,137

    well done guys hope the hangovers aren't too bad :)

    now that i've said what i wanted to, i'm off to the beach

     What does courage mean to me?
    What does it mean to you?
    To some, a single attribute, others, quite a few,
    For courage is a lack of fear, inspired by faith and love,
    Love of a person, place, or thing, faith in "our Lord" above.
    In time of stress, the "Lord" provides, the strength to overcome,
    It's courage! giving special drive! until the goal is won.
    When danger threatens life or limb, it's courage to the fore,
    A courage known by many names, as: daring! guts! and more.
    Whatever name we give this trait, it's valiant! stout! and bold!
    In action, it is fortitude, a wonder! to behold.

    Take That were AMAZING on Sunday my camera wasn't brilliant but i managed to get some photos to remember the amazing day by!
    Although i'm not really fussed on Beverley Knight she certainly has got an amazing voice on her and she was excellent, next came the Sugarbabes and they were suprisingly good.  Then what we'd been waiting since 12.30 for, the boys appeared what an entrance the roar of the crowd was deafening!! and although i'd seen them 3 weeks earlier i wasn't prepared for the amazing concert they performed, Jason is sooo amazing to watch his smile lit up my face, the 8 1/2 hours waiting in the pouring rain, soaked to the skin was worth every minute just to see his smile and that body of his, sexxxy giggles* The Beatles medley was FAB but they couldn't go into the circle but the had a walking area between the inner circle and the golden ticket area the jammy sods. Beverly Knight came back on to do the intro for Relight My Fire but what a nice suprise to see Lulu back with the lads, she looked so happy to be there. It was also nice to see the hologram of Robbie *can't help loving that guy* still i'm glad he didn't show i think it would have turned into a Robbie show and the guys have worked too hard and deserve better.Jay is still my number 1 hunny tho*. So here's looking forward to some new stuff from the guys in the near future and Jay when you're ready to have some babies can i offer my services *blushes*.

    TAKE THAT....I LOVE YOU
